Riding with Reiki

​What is involved?
Working with Reiki in our riding is all about increasing our awareness of not only our own mind. body and energy, but also of the horses. We are looking for a deeper connection and understanding and an enjoyable ride!
Sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes.
We generally begin a session with some short meditations and simple standing stretches. We discuss where you feel you are currently in your riding and any blocks that you feel are in your way.
Whilst riding, there will be plenty of stopping and talking through what you are feeling and what I am seeing, so although the sessions appear to be long, they won't be physically exhausting in anyway!

Who are these lessons suitable for?
We have a weight limit of 12 stone 7 lbs. Our lovely Connemara, Beau, will look after the most nervous rider and can also pick it up a gear for those that wish. 
You don't need to have completed formal Reiki training, however, these lessons will be of most benefit to you if you have some experience in energy work, for example, Reiki, Yoga, Tai Chi and so on. For students who do not have previous experience, you will be sent some
simple meditations to listen to before your lesson, so that you can receive the most benefit.

Cost
Lesson price is £75, with the lesson lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.

Location
Lessons are available at our centre in South Lincolnshire (PE12 0NS). They take place in our 20m x 40m all weather, outdoor arena.
Lessons are also available at your own yard on your own horse.

Your teacher
First and foremost I would like you to enjoy your lesson. If you are looking for an instructor to push you and shout commands, then I'm not the right person! Not only is it important to me that you enjoy the session, but also that the horse does, so we spend time making sure he understands what is asked of him and feels that he is 'getting things right', which all adds up to a horse that wants to be ridden and enjoys his work.
I have ridden all of my life, from training youngsters to show jumping and dressage. I completed my BHS Stage 3 at 17 years old and went on to teach in our riding school for a few years, before being drawn to work with Reiki. We have been teaching Reiki courses here since 2008 and using energy within our horsemanship is very natural to us.
